What I Enjoy Most About Writing

There’s something magical about a blank page. It doesn’t judge me, interrupt me, or tell me how I should feel—it just waits patiently for me to pour myself out.

Writing has always been my safe space. It’s the one place where I can express exactly what’s on my heart without worrying about what anyone will say or think. Whether I’m filling pages in my journal, crafting a blog post, or typing out a quick thought for social media, there’s a calmness I feel once I’m done. Almost like exhaling after holding my breath for too long.

The part that fills me up the most, though, is when my words land in someone else’s heart exactly when they need them. When I get a message that says, “This is exactly how I’ve been feeling,” or “I needed this today,” it reminds me of something beautiful—we are never as alone as we think we are.

Writing becomes a bridge. It connects my heart to yours, my experiences to your own. It’s this quiet exchange of healing—you reading my words and finding comfort in them, while I’m healing just by writing them down.

That’s the magic of it for me. Not just the release, but the connection. Not just telling my story, but knowing that in some way, it’s helping someone else feel seen in theirs.

So I keep showing up to the page. And if even one person feels lighter, more understood, or less alone because of something I’ve written… then it’s worth every word.

What about you?
Do you have something—writing, painting, music, or even cooking—that helps you release, heal, and connect with others? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.

Thank you for reading today’s blog

Until next time keep growing and thriving on your journey

xo, Kieks
