TThere’s a lot of noise in the world right now—so many people operating from a place of hurt, pride, fear, or ego. And if you’re not careful, they’ll convince you that kindness is a waste of time. That being loving makes you a fool. That having a soft heart is dangerous.
But that’s not what God says.
Scripture reminds us in Galatians 6:9, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
I know how it feels to wonder if your kindness even matters. I’ve been there.
I’m the type of person who will repost someone’s business, celebrate their wins, and support their milestones on social media—just because I want to see people win. Some would say I shouldn’t, especially when those same people don’t do the same for me. But I don’t do it for recognition. I do it because it was placed on my heart. And I’ve learned that when something is placed on your heart, it’s not random—it’s divine. That’s God nudging you to be His light in a world that needs more of it.
I truly believe that when you do things from the heart, it always comes back. Not always from the person you did it for—but from somewhere, in some way. That’s how grace flows. That’s how favor finds you.
And that’s the key: kindness is not about who deserves it. It’s about staying in alignment with who God has called you to be.
Yes, it’s okay to have boundaries. It’s okay to move with wisdom. But don’t let someone else’s indifference change your intention. Don’t let the world make you cold.
You were called to be the light.
Jesus was kind, even knowing people would betray Him. He forgave, even from the cross. So if our Savior could still choose love in the face of rejection, so can we—not because it’s easy, but because it’s holy.
So if it’s placed on your heart to text someone, do it. If it’s placed on your heart to support someone, show up. If it’s placed on your heart to love someone from a distance—do that too. But never stop choosing kindness just because others don’t understand it.
Your softness is not a weakness. It’s a reflection of your strength in Him.
Let the world do what it does. You? Stay rooted in love.rooted in love.
Until next time, keep growing and thriving on your journey.
