Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflection (what’s new, right?). I came across one of those personality tests and figured — why not? I was curious to see if anything would feel true or maybe even reveal something I hadn’t put into words yet.
Let me just say this:
It read me for filth.
According to the results, I’m an INFP-T — which stands for Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Prospecting, and Turbulent. It’s also known as The Mediator or The Idealist.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what that means — and how it actually shows up in my real life.
My Test Results:
- 78% Introverted → I’m energized by quiet time, deep convos, and meaningful moments — not crowds or constant stimulation.
- 81% Intuitive → I live in my head a lot. I see possibilities and patterns, often thinking 10 steps ahead.
- 84% Feeling → I lead with my heart. I care deeply (sometimes too deeply) about how others feel.
- 51% Prospecting → I’m flexible and spontaneous, but still appreciate a little structure when I need it.
- 78% Turbulent → I’m emotionally aware and growth-driven but tend to overthink, second-guess, and self-critique.
So What Does That All Mean?
It means I’m the type to:
- Need time alone to process everything
- Crave authentic connection — no surface-level friendships here
- Get easily overwhelmed by chaos or conflict
- Feel everything deeply but quietly
- Dream big, then spiral into self-doubt before I even start
- Push myself hard, even when no one is watching
At first, I thought being Turbulent meant unstable. But now I understand it means I’m someone who constantly reflects, checks in with myself, and strives to grow. Yes, I can be hard on myself — but that’s also what pushes me to evolve.
Tools That Are Helping Me Thrive:
Here’s what I’m using (or working on) to stay grounded and aligned with my true self:
- Journaling – My go-to for processing feelings and sorting through thoughts.
- Affirmations – Especially ones that speak to self-worth and emotional grounding.
- Vision Boards – Because I’m motivated by meaning and need to see the why behind what I do.
- Gentle Routines – Enough structure to support me, not cage me.
- Emotional Boundaries – Saying no with love and choosing peace over people-pleasing.
Taking this test didn’t change who I am — but it gave me clarity. It affirmed things I’ve always known but didn’t always know how to name. And most of all, it reminded me that being introspective, emotional, and a little sensitive isn’t a weakness. It’s part of what makes me powerful.
If you’re curious about your type, I highly recommend taking the test for yourself. It’s free, and honestly? It might help you see yourself a little clearer too.
