This past Sunday, Bishop Bronner preached about seasons—and whew, it hit home.
He reminded us that just like nature shifts, our lives go through seasons too. Some are loud and bright. Some are cold and quiet. Some feel like nothing is happening at all… but something always is.
There was one line that stayed with me:
“Don’t curse your winter. It’s where your roots grow deeper.”
Let that sink in.
How often do we resist the slow seasons? The quiet ones. The ones where doors seem to close and nothing feels “in bloom.” But what if those moments are where God is doing His most important work—in us, not around us?
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… And Grace
- Spring feels like fresh starts—new opportunities, ideas, energy.
- Summer is joy, growth, overflow. Everything is moving and glowing.
- Fall teaches us to let go, release, and trust that it’s okay to outgrow things.
- Winter feels still, sometimes lonely—but it’s where faith becomes less about feelings and more about trust.
The Season I’m In
Right now, I’m learning to honor the season I’m in.
It’s not a sprint. It’s not a highlight reel. It’s a process.
There are moments where I feel planted—but not yet blooming. And that’s okay.
God doesn’t rush seasons.
He prepares.
He prunes.
He protects.
And when He’s ready… we’ll see why the wait, the silence, or the shift was necessary.
A Prayer for the Season
God, help me stop rushing what You’re using to refine me.
Teach me to trust You, even when I don’t understand the season I’m in.
Let me grow deeper in quiet places and still believe in harvests I haven’t seen yet.
Let this be your reminder:
You are not behind.
You are not forgotten.
You are just in a season. And seasons change.
Until Next Time Keep Growing and Thriving on the Journey
