God I’m Struggling! But I’m Still Trying

“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
Mark 5:34

There’s something about hitting rock bottom that will have you crying out, “God, I’m struggling.” It’s in those moments when life feels unbearably heavy — when the weight of your circumstances suffocates your joy, and you start wondering if God even hears you.

I’ve been there. More times than I’d like to admit. And if I’m being honest, I’m still there sometimes. There have been days when my prayers felt unanswered, my strength ran out, and my faith started to waver. But here’s what I’m learning: trying while trusting makes all the difference.

The Woman with the Issue of Blood

In Mark 5:25-34, we’re introduced to a woman who had been suffering from constant bleeding for twelve long years. Can you imagine the level of frustration, hopelessness, and isolation she must have felt? She had spent all she had on doctors, hoping for a cure, and yet she only got worse.

Twelve. Years. Straight!

She was physically, emotionally, and spiritually drained. Much like how some of us feel when we’ve been fighting the same battle for far too long. It could be a health issue, a strained relationship, financial hardship, or simply battling with yourself — but that level of struggle can make you feel like giving up.

But here’s what sets her apart — she kept trying.

Even after twelve years of failure, disappointment, and heartbreak, she didn’t give up completely. When she heard that Jesus was coming through her town, she made up in her mind “If I could just touch the hem of his garment, I’ll be healed.” (Mark 5:28)

She didn’t wait to be invited. She didn’t ask permission. She didn’t even need Jesus to lay hands on her. She just tried — and in her trying, she placed all her trust in Him.

And you know what happened? She was healed immediately.

It wasn’t her strength that healed her. It wasn’t her resources or connections. It wasn’t even Jesus noticing her at first. It was her faith. Her relentless belief that if she could just get close to Him, everything would change.

And here’s what’s wild — Jesus didn’t even address her bleeding first. He addressed her faith.

Daughter, your faith has healed you.” (Mark 5:34)

Let that sink in.

Trying While You Trust

I don’t know what you’ve been struggling with lately, but can I encourage you? Don’t stop trying. Even if you feel like God isn’t answering you. Even if you feel like you’ve been dealing with the same issue for years. Even if you’re tired. Even if your strength is gone.

Keep trying. Keep praying. Keep pressing.

Sometimes God is watching to see if your faith can outlast your frustration. Sometimes it’s not about how strong you are — it’s about how much you still believe when it seems like nothing is changing.

The woman with the issue of blood could have easily stayed home. She could have easily said, “I’m not strong enough to push through this crowd.” But she didn’t. She showed up, stretched her hand, and tried one more time — and her faith unlocked her healing.

So, what’s your struggle today? Is it your finances? Your mental health? Your marriage? Your confidence? Your dream that’s taking longer than expected?

Whatever it is — keep trying while you trust. Keep stretching. Keep showing up. Keep speaking over your life. Keep touching the hem.

Because when your faith collides with God’s power, everything changes.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I’m struggling. Some days it feels like the weight of my circumstances is too much to bear. But today, I’m choosing to trust You. Just like the woman with the issue of blood, I’m reaching for You — believing that one touch from You can change everything. Strengthen me when I feel weak. Increase my faith when doubt tries to creep in. And remind me that my healing, breakthrough, and peace are already in motion. Thank You for always seeing me, even when it feels like no one else does. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Closing Thoughts

Listen, I know it’s hard. I know the waiting feels unbearable sometimes. But don’t let your struggle silence your faith. Keep trying while you trust. Push through the crowd if you have to. Speak life over yourself. And keep your heart open, because your healing could be one touch away.

And when you get it — because you will — don’t forget to thank God for the strength it took to keep pressing when you could have given up. That’s where your real testimony lies.

What’s one area you’ve been struggling in lately? Drop it in the comments or DM me. I’m praying for you. 💕

Until next time, keep growing and thriving and embracing the journey
