Mental Note – Stop for a moment and focus on the good. There is a lot to be grateful for, you just have to train yourself to see those gifts everyday.

Invest five minutes a day to just be grateful.

Today I am grateful for:

  • I am grateful for fixable problems: I know we would all like to live in a world where we have no problems, as great as that sounds it is never going to happen! My problems though they may seem so big to me, I am grateful that none of them are too great that they cannot be fixed.
    • There is someone out there now struggling with circumstance such as illness or loss, that they cannot fix.
  • I am grateful I that my basic needs are met : I have a roof over my head, food to eat, heat in my home, clothes on my back and Love in my life.
    • For the past few weeks, it has be crazy cold in Georgia ((14 degrees). Everyday that I walk into my warm house after work I say thank you Jesus for my warm house. There are so many un-housed people all over the word right now, it is heartbreaking to think that people have nowhere to go in this weather. Or the people in my hometown of Los Angeles who have recently lost everything due to the fires.
  • I am grateful for change – I am grateful for change. Change is scary but change is growth. This year I choose to change my mindset I understand that if I didn’t I would be stuck doing the same thing over and over again.
    • This year I have chosen to make changes for a better me. Putting God and myself at the top of my priority list.

Affirmations

  • I am worthy of the Life that I desire.
    • I desire a joyful life filled with love and abundance in every form, financial, spiritual. family, friends, experiences etc.
  • I am a money and opportunity magnet.
    • This year I welcome opportunities to learn and grow mentally and financially.
  • I am authentically me and I will attract those who accept me for who I am.
    • With change you inevitably will lose people in your life which has honestly hurt a lot in the past. As we change, we will lose people but hopefully when the time is right, we will begin to find our people.

Starting and ending your day off with gratitude has a way of shifting your mood in a more positive direction. If you struggle to find things to be grateful for, I suggest getting a Gratitude journal with daily prompts to start and end your day.
