Recently my partner asked me how I was feeling about my journey back in the gym. My response was ” I don’t feel anything, I just started nothing has changed it will take some time”
“His response was do you ever think about the small victories?” Pat yourself on the back for everyday that you got up and got it done.”
Me “No not really”
Him “You should”
I have been known to be very tough on myself rarely giving myself credit for things big or small. I am the type to critic myself rather than tell myself good job.
Today I began to think about the small victories I should pat myself on the back for.

- I have made it into the gym 12 days out of the 14 days so far in January.

- Pilates- My new hobby keeping consistent going once a week for now (This is not a cheap hobby lol)
- Eating Healthier – Thanks to my weekly meal prepping this is hard but so worth it in the end.

- Sticking to my reading goals currently reading a chapter a day of this book Power Moves by Sarah Jakes Roberts and enjoying it. So many eye-opening chapters so far. This book is forcing me to look at myself from the inside out. So happy I chose this to begin the year with!
- Made it to church the past few Sundays
- Been Reading my Bible
So far, I have been keeping my promises to myself and that deserves a pat on the back which I have done today. Kind of laughed and definitely smiled after doing it. It not my norm so it was funny but also felt good at the same time.
If you are like me and rarely give yourself credit for the small victories stop right now and think about them and then pat yourself on the back because you deserve it.
What small victories have you accomplished in the first few days of 2025? Comment below!
Thank you for reading my blog.
Until next time
XO, Kieks
