Hey Luves!
Happy almost Friday, I don’t know about anyone else, but I am excited for the weekend!
I am heading home to Los Angeles for the weekend to celebrate my grandmothers 77th and my favorite aunts 58th Birthday. I am always excited to see my family makes the travel worth it.
Getting into today’s blog if you have read some of my recent blogs you know I had loss my way on my fitness journey I gained about 30 pounds over the last year and couldn’t seem to get my mojo back being consistent in the gym and eating healthier.
Back in September while in the gym working out, I literally cried at the sight of how much I let myself go and then I decided enough is enough! I have always found that a challenge helps me to re motivate myself, so I signed up for a 6-week nutrition and fitness program with JSculpt Fitness that I started on October 2.
I don’t know about you, but I had this urge for a restart in the beginning of October.
Unlike any other program I have been on this one encourages you to consume some carbohydrates with every meal high protein and healthy fats. I mean I am eating rice and still losing weight and inches, this is music to a Belizean girl like me ears because we love our rice okay.
The goal isn’t to lose weight as quick as possible; the ultimate goal is to fat and gain muscle. What Iam learning is that the best way to do this is by having a high protein diet incorporate resistance training and maintaining a caloric deficit and counting your macronutients.
Caloric deficit: Eat and drink fewer calories than you burn.
My Current Diet Consists of
5 ounces of protein
- Chicken Breast
- Salmon
- Cod
- Shrimp
- Ground Turkey
- Ground Chicken
- Deli Turkey Meat
- Chicken Sausages
- Protein Shake (if necessary)
- Eggs
Carbs -half a cup
- Jasmine rice
- red potato
- sweet potato
- Ezekiel Bread
- Brown and Wild Rice
Fruit Carbs
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Apples
- Grapes
- Grapefruit
Healthy Fats
- Almonds
- Walnuts
- Pecans
- Almond Butter
- Peanut Butter
- Coconut Oil
- Avocado
Vegetables -1 cup
- Spinach
- Kale
- Boccoli
- Brusssel sprouts
- Green Beans
- Asparagus
- Mushrooms
- Squash
- Zuccini
Drinks
- Water
- Black Coffee (hard but I use stivia drops)
- Green Tea
Workout consists of Minimum 30 minutes of cardio every day and various strength training exercises with one rest day.

In the first week I lost 4 pounds and stopped getting on the scale since focusing more on my physical and mental strength. I find that focusing in the number on scale makes me feel defeated, so I stay away.
What I have noticed over the past month
- Mental Clarity /Focus -I am not so all over the place, my anxiety has been pretty low.
- Consistency – I don’t feel right if i don’t get a workout in. Sticking to the daily workout has help me to stay consistent. Also having a group chat with a group of women as accountability partners. My Partner has also been a big help with staying consistent joining me on workouts or waking me up at 5 am when I ask him to in order to get part of my workout complete before work.
- Eating Habits -Meal Prepping and creating a meal plan Sunday is the biggest help with this keeps me from snacking on things I shouldn’t. I have gotten good at saying not to things outside of my diet (Thank God)
- Energy -Before starting this plan my energy was probably the lowest it has ever been, now I am not struggling throughout the day.
- My body is definitely changing slowly but surely – so far, I am happy to see the direction I am going in!
- Boosted Confidence

My Mood this morning pumping myself up for a workout, it was 33F I didn’t want to get out my bed I wanted to sleep. I got up and got it done anyway.

2 weeks results 4 pounds and a few inches down.
Photos from over August vs Photos over the past week below see any differences? let me know in the comments.

All around I have been feeling great on this new journey! today is day 30 I have 2 more weeks to go hard wish me luck I will definitely give an update.
